The ECIWDB serves a seven-county area in East Central Iowa consisting of Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and Washington counties.

This region is home to hundreds of large and small businesses and over 470,000 people.

ECIWDB provides oversight and guidance for the workforce system within the region, with primary operations happening at the IowaWORKS American Job Centers in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
